With no snow on the ground yet, the City of Winnipeg has extended the curbside yard waste collection program for two more weeks.

Until November 28, weather permitting, residents can continue to place yard waste on the curb to be picked up on their garbage/recycling day every two weeks.

Yard waste can be place in any reusable container without a lid, such as plastic tubs, old blue boxes, old metal or plastic garbage containers. Cardboard boxes or paper yard waste bags are also acceptable.

Plastic bags are not accepted in the program because they do not break down.
