Accessing Winnipeg’s archive of historic photographs just got easier with the launch of a web-based application called Winnipeg in FOCUS.

Students from Red River College partnered with the city to help develop the application, which scours the City of Winnipeg Archives to find historical events and milestones throughout the city’s rich 141-year history.

Team Leader Riley Robins, Kodi Gilchrist, Matthew Gereta, Geniva Lacara, and Lemuel Volante were behind the project, who developed the application through a college course designed to give students practical experience working in a team environment.

Winnipeg in FOCUS offers an easily accessible database tool to search for any historical photograph.
