Suspects Sought in Sherbrook Street Sexual Assault

Winnipeg Police CrestA 23-year-old woman was seriously sexually assaulted Saturday morning by two unknown men in the area of Portage Avenue and Sherbrook Street.

Winnipeg police were called shortly before 4:30 a.m. and met with the victim, who said two men forced her to the east back lane of Sherbrook Street north of Portage. She was able to break free and run to a nearby residence.

The first suspect is described as aboriginal in appearance, approximately 25-years-old, 5’8” tall, 200 lbs with a chubby build. He was wearing a dark jacket and jeans.

The second suspect is described as aboriginal in appearance, approximately 25-years-old, tall with a thin build. He was wearing dark clothing including a toque.
