Career Expo Helps Parents to Guide Children in Working World

Opening Doors Parents Career Expo

An upcoming career expo will help parents guide their children with planning their future careers and job exploration.

The 7th annual Opening Doors Parents Career Expo on Saturday, November 22 offers the information parents need to help their children in making choices for in the working world.

The event showcases a variety of career information booths consisting of industry associations, post-secondary institutions, government services, apprenticeship options, and employment services. Attendees can explore careers from a variety of Manitoba’s leading industries including aerospace, tourism and hospitality, food processing, film, manufacturing, music, construction, environmental industries, customer contact centres, and arts and culture.

The expo is being presented by Manitoba Career Prospects in celebration of Career and Workforce Development Month.

The open house format happens from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology (MITT), 130 Henlow Bay. Admission is free.
