Rudy and his devoted team of safe-driving volunteers are gearing up for another season of Operation Red Nose.

Safety Services Manitoba launched their annual campaign Friday to get holiday revellers home safely in their own vehicles.

Operating in 10 Manitoba communities this year, Operation Red Nose will begin November 28 from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. and run weekends until New Year’s Eve.

“ORN is one of our many joint initiatives with MPI to encourage Manitobans to drive responsibly — in this case, choosing a safe way home means knowing when to let Rudy (the mascot) take the reins,” said Judy Murphy, president and CEO of Safety Services Manitoba.

Those wishing to use the service can call (204) 947-NOSE (6673) or #NOSE on a MTS cell phone.
