Winnipeg is showing its love for the Gas Station Arts Centre with on online fundraiser and upcoming concert series.
The I Love GSAC is the first show of its kind to be held on December 7, with a 45-minute set from Winnipeg Fringe and Winnipeg Comedy Festival favourites, Hot Thespian Action, followed by a 60-minute performance from Girls! Girls! Girls! co-producer Kim Zeglinski.
“The Gas Station Arts Centre has given us a home. Not only has the staff always been warm and welcoming, but they went out of their way to help our troupe get our start,” said HTA member Shannon Guile. “The theatre itself is one of the only places in Winnipeg where we can rent a beautiful space for very reasonable price.”
As the GSAC’s redevelopment online fundraiser built momentum, more groups stepped forward wanting to help raise funds by donating a performance, and more shows will be announced in the coming months.
There are perks available to those who donate at different tiers, including Winnipeg Comedy Festival tickets and a free one-day rental of the theatre, there are perks for all levels of donors.
Tickets to the concert are $15 and are available at GSAC.ca.
