November 20, 2014 9:24 PM | News

RCMP Crest LogoA four-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 2 and Provincial Road 248 on Thursday evening sent one man to hospital in critical condition.

Carman and Headingley RCMP responded to find a southbound pickup truck that had entered the intersection and collided with an eastbound semi. The pickup was then hit by a westbound pickup and then again by an eastbound pickup truck.

The 52-year-old Hadashville man driving the southbound truck was taken to hospital with serious injuries. His passenger and the occupants in the other vehicles involved weren’t injured.

Road conditions and alcohol are not considered factors.

It’s not known whether the injured driver was wearing a seatbelt.

As of 9 p.m., Manitoba RCMP remained on the scene and motorists should expect delays.
