A weekend for entrepreneurs and creative individuals to launch their bright ideas has resulted in the creation of PhenomScout.
Winnipeg’s Ramp Up Weekend wrapped up on Sunday, and PhenomScout was one of the successful ideas brought to fruition. The website is a comprehensive database of high school athletes that simplifies the university sport recruiting process.
“As a former college athlete, I know firsthand how hard it is to connect with recruiters and scouts, especially being from a smaller province with a smaller pool of players” said Patricia Romeo, who is leading the PhenomScout team. “I’m thrilled to be part of this game changing platform that will make it easier for recruiters to find athletes.”
The website allows high school athletes to get noticed by scouts and pair them up with the appropriate contact to leverage their athletic abilities.
Students athletes can then claim their “player card profile,” customize it and integrate it with other social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook to allow recruiters to easily find them.
