Winnipeg Transit Fares Going Up January 1

New fares for Winnipeg Transit and Handi-Transit take effect January 1, 2015.

Full fares will increase by five cents to $2.60. Reduced and senior cash fares will be $2.10. New rates for tickets and passes will also be in effect January 1.

A Max 5 Pass will increase to $20.25 from $19.80, a SuperPass to $22.50 from $22, a monthly pass to $86.65 from $84.70, and a post-secondary pass will increase to $69.35 from $67.75.

Existing 2014 bus tickets, plus the cash difference, will be accepted until March 31, 2015.
