Several Manitoba musicians walked away with hardware at the 2014 Canadian Folk Music Awards (CFMA) in Ottawa on Saturday.

The 10th annual event saw The Bros. Landreth take the New/Emerging Artist of the Year award, featuring band namesakes and siblings Joey and David Landreth alongside Alex Campbell and Ryan Voth.

Manitoba’s Tanya Tagaq won the Pushing the Boundaries award for her captivating album Animism.

Fred Penner won for Children’s Album of the Year for his album Where In The World.

The gala evening was the conclusion of a weekend of public music events, including two evenings of nominee showcases and various workshops.
