The Exchange District BIZ and Red River College are kicking off the holiday season on December 5 with First Fridays.

From 5-9 p.m., Old Market Square will be transformed into a festive meeting place lit up with lights, benches, and fire pits.

“There is so much to see and do in the Exchange, and there is no better time of the year to visit, than during the holidays,” said Brian Timmerman, executive director of the Exchange District BIZ.

RRC’s Paterson GlobalFoods Institute School of Hospitality and Culinary Arts will be providing free hot chocolate and cookies made by the students.

The BIZ’s Exchange Patrol will be handing out random gifts to several lucky people found out and about in the Exchange, including gift cards, prizes, sweets and other goodies.
