RCMP Crest LogoA Steinbach, Manitoba man has been charged after allegedly operating a fake fundraiser and raffle with the promise of two free tattoos.

RCMP say the fundraiser was being promoted in the community south of Winnipeg from October 7-24 and collected money to be used for a deserving local family requiring special equipment to care for their daughter.

The fundraiser wasn’t licensed by the City of Steinbach of lottery commission.

RCMP found money collected from tickets never went to the family.
