The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed Chris Greaves to a contract extension through 2017.
The national offensive lineman started 15 games at guard this season for Winnipeg, his fifth season with the Bombers. He was originally drafted by Winnipeg in the 2010 CFL Draft, and had played 67 straight games prior to missing Week’s three, four and five in 2014 due to injury. He has started a total of 56 games on the offensive line during his career.
“When I was presented with this opportunity to ensure staying in Winnipeg, it was done without hesitation,” Greaves said in a release. “I really love playing here for this organization and this group of staff, my teammates, and obviously for such passionate fans. As an offensive unit we are looking forward to building on the improved record from this season, and take it to the next level in 2015.”
