Lloyd Robertson (CTV)
Veteran Canadian broadcaster Lloyd Robertson will deliver the keynote address at Brandon’s Seniors’ Summit in the spring of 2015.
The renowned journalist, national TV news anchor, and author is best known for his tenure behind the desk on “CTV National News” from 1976 to 2011.
The two-day summit will be held in the Wheat City March 11-12 at the Keystone Centre, catering to the interests of seniors in the Brandon and Westman community, their families, and the professionals who provide care and essential services to the aging population.
“We are so pleased to have secured a keynote speaker of such a high calibre and someone who is so revered by so many Canadians,” said Richard Greer, City of Brandon community development coordinator and summit planning committee chair. “With such a rich and broad perspective on Canada and the world, Lloyd Robertson is truly a Canadian icon whose influence spans multiple generations. We are very excited to have him attend and speak at our Seniors’ Summit and know there will be many in our community who are, as well.”
Negotiations to secure a second keynote speaker are currently ongoing.
The summit’s full program schedule is expected to be finalized by late January, including registration details. Further information will be provided on Brandon.ca in the coming weeks.
