Players from the Winnipeg Jets lifted the spirits of kids at the Rehabilitation Centre for Children on Monday afternoon.
Zach Bogosian, Mark Scheifele, Grant Clitsome, Adam Lowry, Ben Chiarot, and Julien Brouillette paid a holiday visit to pose for photos and sign autographs.
“It’s always fun, especially around the holidays,” Bogosian said of the appearance. “At the end of the day playing hockey is a great thing, but it’s the things that come along with it that… you like to set a good example for kids and be a role model in the community. Anytime you get a chance to spend time around the kids, it’s a lot of fun.”
The Rehabilitation Centre for Children supports children and youth in Manitoba in achieving their goals and participating in their communities.
Other players also spent time at the Children’s Hospital and the psychiatric unit at Health Sciences Centre.
