Libau Man Charged in University of Winnipeg Sexual Assault

Winnipeg Police CrestWinnipeg police have arrested a man who sexually assaulted a woman at the University of Winnipeg on December 3.

The 23-year-old victim was on the escalators going from the 3rd floor to the 4th floor when an unknown man groped her in the lower body from behind.

The woman immediately contacted security and police.

Joshua James Wapash, 22, of Libau, Manitoba was arrested on Monday. He has been charged with sexual assault and failing to comply with a probation order.

He remains in custody.
