Front office staff from the Winnipeg Goldeyes will be visiting Winnipeg Harvest today to lend a hand during the busy holiday season.
Fans who also help out will have a chance at winning Goldeyes merchandise and nine-game mini packs for the 2015 season.
Staff will volunteer at the local food bank and the Winnipeg Goldeyes Field of Dreams Foundation will make a $3,000 donation.
“Winnipeg Harvest meets a great need for a lot of people in Winnipeg. We are thrilled to once again partner with them,” Goldeyes general manager Andrew Collier said. “Hopefully this prize package will encourage even more generosity from Winnipeggers during the holiday season.”
In March 2014, Harvest assisted 61,691 individuals — a 2.5 percent increase over last year. Approximately 27,000 were under age 18.
