Staff from Winnipeg’s Animal Services Agency will be paying pet owners a visit at city parks to talk to them about responsible pet ownership.
Animal Services officers will be handing out treats and educational materials while making their rounds.
“It’s important that all pet owners know about the responsible pet ownership by-law, and our officers are excited to get out there and talk to people,” said Leland Gordon, chief operating officer of the Animal Services Agency. “The officers will be heading to a number of different on and off-leash parks over holidays with pet treats in hand.”
Officers will also give away additional cat treats to anyone who mentions “Whiskerpeg.”
