Two Arrested in Boyd Avenue Grow-Op Bust

Winnipeg Police CrestTwo people have been arrested after Winnipeg police raided a home in the 400 block of Boyd Avenue on Wednesday.

Officers seized 167 marijuana plants worth an estimated $187,040, 12 lbs. of dry marijuana worth $31,250, grow-op equipment worth $6,000 and $17,000 in Canadian currency.

A 42-year-old man and 32-year-old woman, both from Winnipeg, face a number of drug-related charges.

Both were released on promises to appear.
