Winnipeg Transit will once again offer free rides on New Year’s Eve with the support of Manitoba Public Insurance.
Buses will begin service at 7 p.m. on December 31 with the last buses leaving downtown at approximately 1:38 a.m.
“As Winnipeggers celebrate New Year’s Eve, I encourage everyone to enjoy themselves responsibly and safely by taking advantage of the free ride on Winnipeg Transit,” said Mayor Brian Bowman.
Last year, more than 15,000 people rode the bus for free on New Year’s Eve in Winnipeg.
