Winnipeg police have made an arrest in connection with the beating death of a homeless man on May 30.
Shortly before noon, a group of men came across the victim sleeping in the area of the 600 block of Century Street.
He was seriously assaulted and suffered critical injuries due to blunt force trauma. Wayne Michael Harper, 31, later died in hospital.
On Sunday, police arrested Oliver James Okemow, 39, and charged him with manslaughter.
Police continue to investigate.
