Kostyshyn Named Manitoba’s New Infrastructure, Transportation Minister

WINNIPEG — Minister Ron Kostyshyn was sworn-in as Manitoba’s new minister of infrastructure and transportation and minister responsible for emergency measures on Tuesday.

Premier Greg Selinger appointed Kostyshyn following the resignation of MLA Steve Ashton on Monday to seek the leadership of the provincial NDP.

Mineral Resources Minister Dave Chomiak will assume the duties of house leader.

Kostyshyn will also remain minister of agriculture, food and rural development, a post he has held since January 13, 2012.
