WINNIPEG — It’s been open less than a week, but the $16 million Transcona Boulevard roadway will close on Monday, December 29 for paving work.

The city says temporary concrete will be laid down at the intersection of Plessis Road and Transcona Boulevard, which is required to replace a gravel surface that has loosened because of recent unseasonably mild and wet weather. The temporary concrete pavement will remain in place until the finishing touches can be completed in spring.

The closure will be in effect from 7 a.m. on the 29th until 6 p.m. on December 31.

Motorists are advised to allow for additional travel time or to use alternate routes in this area to reach their destinations.
