A documentary following the life and career of professional hockey player Teemu Selanne will screen in Winnipeg January 6-7.
“SEL8NNE” is an in-depth look at the former Winnipeg Jet and comes just days before his jersey is to be retired in Anaheim on January 11, 2015. The Jets face the Ducks that day, making the night that much more significant.
The 2013 documentary will also be shown in Los Angeles as part of a series of events leading up to his retirement.
“We’re going quite deep. The story has to be honest and right, otherwise it’s not worth it,” Selanne explained to Finnish website mtv3.fi last year. “We can see things in the movie that you wouldn’t see otherwise.”
The Winnipeg screening will run both days at 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $13 each through ParkTheatreCafe.com or you can try winning one of four pairs by tweeting @ChrisDca and using the hashtag #SEL8NNE.
