Classic Films Go Digital as Cineplex Festival Returns

CineplexCineplex Entertainment’s Great Digital Film Festival is returning at theatres across the country, including at screens in Winnipeg.

Hollywood’s greatest classics will run January 30 to February 5 for the first time in a digital format.

“The success of the Great Digital Film Festival demonstrates Canadians’ deep bond with their all-time favourite movies,” said Pat Marshall of Cineplex Entertainment. “We are delighted to have beloved film critic Richard Crouse share his insights and answer festivalgoers’ burning questions about this year’s films.”

Crouse (@RichardCrouse) will be interacting with fans through Twitter during the festival using the #GDFF2015 hashtag.

Films include:

• An all-day screening of the X-Men franchise: X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014), X-Men: First Class (2011), X-Men: The Last Stand (2006), X2: X-Men United (2003), X-Men (2000);
• 25th anniversary screenings of Darkman (1990) and Dick Tracy (1990);
• Blade Runner: The Final Cut (2007);
• Kill Bill Vol 1 (2003) and Kill Bill Vol 2 (2004);
• Alien (1979);
• Aliens (1986);
• Hellboy (2004);
• Pan’s Labyrinth (2006);
• The Monster Squad (1987);
• The Rocketeer (1991).
