Two Manitoba Men Charged with Cocaine Trafficking

RCMP Crest LogoTwo men have been charged in two separate, unrelated cocaine trafficking investigations in northern Manitoba.

RCMP executed a search warrant at a home in Opaskwayak on January 10, where they seized a quantity of cocaine, marijuana and money.

A 27-year-old man from Opaskwayak was arrested and has been charged with possessing cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possessing the proceeds of crime and possessing marijuana.

A 22-year-old man from Opaskwayak and a 22-year-old woman from Cumberland House, Saskatchewan were also arrested, but later released without charges.

The same day, RCMP searched an apartment on Edwards Avenue in The Pas where they seized a quantity of cocaine.

A 50-year-old man from the community was arrested and has been charged with possessing cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
