Winnipeg Goldeyes LogoThe Winnipeg Goldeyes have dealt the contract of infielder Casey Haerther to the Baltimore Orioles.

Haerther, 27, hit .360 last season, while also hitting a career-high 13 home runs and added 72 RBI in 98 games during his second season with the Goldeyes. He played 93 of those games at first base and represented the Goldeyes at the 2014 Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries American Association All-Star Game.

“We are thrilled for Casey and the opportunity afforded to him by the Orioles organization,” Goldeyes manager Rick Forney said. “He’s worked extremely hard for his opportunity when he came to us two years ago and wish him the best with the Orioles.”

Haerther played four seasons in the Los Angeles Angels system before coming to Winnipeg, reaching Class AA Arkansas of the Texas League in 2012.
