Winnipeg Police Arrest Two High-Risk Sex Offenders

Winnipeg Police CrestWinnipeg police have arrested two high-risk sex offenders after they breached conditions of their release.

Brett Russell Pilch, 49, was released from custody on December 31, 2014 from Bowden Institution in Alberta. He was not to own a telephone under his name, except as allowed by probation services.

Police arrested Pilch on Wednesday for breaching that condition.

Winston George Thomas, 37, was released on August 14, 2014 from Headingley Correctional Centre. He was not possess or consume alcohol, illegal drugs or any intoxicating substance.

George was also arrested on Wednesday for breaking that condition.

Both men were detained in custody.
