The CEO of Hockey Canada and former NHL head coach Tom Renney will speak at a breakfast gathering of Manitoba business leaders later this month.

The Manitoba Chambers of Commerce is bringing Renney to Winnipeg on Thursday, January 29.

“In the midst of the 100th anniversary celebrations of Hockey Manitoba, we are thrilled to have Mr. Renney address the business community of our province”, said Chamber president and CEO Chuck Davidson.

“Hockey plays such an important role in the fabric of Manitoba and our business community plays a strong role in supporting its continued growth.”

Renney will share his thoughts on high performance athletes in Canada’s World Junior Program, those who play and get paid, and those who don’t, and also how the business community can get involved at the grassroots level.

Renney’s speech will be at the Metropolitan Entertainment Centre beginning at 7:30 a.m. The event is sponsored by Travel Manitoba and Vale.
