Ongoing construction of the expanded RBC Convention Centre will bring some road closures for motorists beginning on Monday.
From January 19-23, York Avenue from Edmonton Street to Carlton Street will be closed to all vehicles and pedestrians from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily. Edmonton from York to Broadway will be closed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
The closures are scheduled outside of peak traffic hours to minimize disruption downtown.
Motorists are advised to allow for additional travel time or to use alternate routes in this area to reach their destinations.
