Alcohol a Factor in Fatal Snowmobile Crash

RCMP Crest LogoA 34-year-old Lorette man has been killed in a snowmobile accident in the RM of Springfield.

Manitoba RCMP say the crash happened at around 1:30 a.m. Sunday when the snowmobile struck an embankment. The man was taken to hospital, but succumbed to his injuries.

Alcohol is considered a factor in the crash.

The name of the deceased isn’t being released.

Police are reminding snowmobilers to always be mindful of their route and to ride sober.
