Dufferin School is closed for the afternoon following a water main break in the area.

The Winnipeg School Division says parents are being contacted to pick up their children. Students of parents who cannot be contacted are being relocated to the Freight House Community Centre at 5-200 Isabel Street.

A temporary water line is expected to be in place at the school by the end of the day. Classes are expected to resume on Wednesday, but parents are asked to confirm on the WSD website before sending their children to school.

Approximately 300 students attend Dufferin School from nursery to Grade 6.
