WINNIPEG — 99.1 Fresh FM has found a new morning show co-host to join Sarah Christie.
JD Francis, most recently of Energy 106, will begin at the Corus Entertainment station in early February.
“Can’t reveal too much yet, but I can say I’m pumped and can’t wait for this next challenge,” Francis wrote in a Facebook post, which garnered nearly 200 comments.
Fresh FM abruptly parted ways with morning host Matt Sutton on January 8 after almost two years.
A radio insider says the idea is to try and increase the station’s rating share in the next measuring by Numeris. Fresh FM registered a dismal 2.2 share in November in the 12+ demographic.
Francis had been with Energy since September 2011.
