Walmart Canada will open up a brand new Walmart Supercentre on January 29 on Taylor Avenue.
The store is one of 11 supercentres to open by the end of the month across Canada.
Grand opening festivities are planned with each opening, including a block party from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Joining the Grand Park location will be openings in Nova Scotia, PEI, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec and Alberta.
The announcement comes on the heels of Target’s announcement last week to close all 133 of its Canadian stores in the coming months. Grant Park is already home to a Target, which replaced the existing Zellers location.
