Police Bust Up College Avenue Grow-Op

Winnipeg Police CrestWinnipeg police have dismantled a marijuana grow-op and two people are facing charges.

Police raided a home in the 300 block of College Avenue on Thursday, where they located 508 marijuana plants worth an estimated $568,960. Also seized was 48 grams of marijuana worth $480, grow-op equipment worth $12,000 and $1,800 in Canadian currency.

A 40-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman, both from Winnipeg, face drug-related charges.

They were released on promises to appear.
