Manitoba RCMP Make ‘High-Risk’ Arrest in La Broquerie

RCMP Crest LogoA man considered to be “high-risk” by Manitoba RCMP was taken into custody early Friday.

Police say they received a report on Thursday evening of several threats being uttered to harm people and police.

Officers attended a residence in La Broquerie, Manitoba this morning, there they found the high-risk suspect and made an arrest.

The 32-year-old man — formerly of Steinbach and currently living in Saskatchewan — was arrested. Police were then led to a home in Richer, Manitoba and seized a number of firearms.

A 33-year-old woman from Muskoday First Nation, Saskatchewan was arrested for uttering threats.

No one was injured during the arrests and police continue to investigate.

Both suspects remain in custody.
