Paramedics driving by in the 400 block of William Avenue Monday night scared off a man attempting to abduct a 55-year-old woman.
The victim was walking at around 11:30 p.m. near Harriet Street and William Avenue when an unknown man approached her from behind. Police say he grabbed the woman and began dragging her away. The woman was able to resist long enough until passing paramedics scared the suspect off.
He is described as black, 20-25 years of age, approximately 5’7” tall. He was wearing light coloured pants, light and dark coloured jacket, runners and a baseball cap.
