The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are hitting the road this winter to tour communities across rural Manitoba.
The Blue Bomber Community Caravan will kick off in Steinbach on Tuesday, February 10, bringing players and the Grey Cup to the city east of Winnipeg.
Niverville and Morris are also on the schedule for February, followed by visits to six other rural communities in March and April.
Blue Bomber players Maurice (Moe) Leggett, Dominic Picard, Rory Kohlert and Chris Greaves will visit local schools and be appearing at team-themed luncheons, hosted by local chambers of commerce and featuring Blue Bombers president and CEO Wade Miller as a speaker.
“With Manitoba hosting the 103rd Grey Cup game on November 29, the Blue Bombers Winter Caravan will help build excitement and renew the team’s rich history and tradition with Manitobans,” Miller said. “Bringing the Grey Cup along with the Blue Bomber Winter Caravan is a great way to strengthen our connection with Manitoba communities.”
