Veteran left-handed Winnipeg Goldeyes pitcher Chris Salamida has been re-signed for the 2015 season.

Upon his return in the spring, the 30-year-old will be the longest-serving starting pitcher in team history. In 19 starts with the Goldeyes last season, Salamida posted a 7-4 record, 3.29 ERA, and logged a team-leading 126 innings pitched.

“He’s a great, veteran, top-of-the-rotation arm,” said manager Rick Forney. “He really seems to get better with each passing year with us. He does a tremendous job competing on the mound and does a fantastic job leading our pitching staff.”

The Goldeyes now have 11 players signed for the 2014 season, including seven pitchers and four position players.
