Canadian Olympic medal-winning sprinter Harry Jerome will be highlighted to kick off the seventh annual Canadian Sport Film Festival tonight.
In honour of Black History Month, the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame will present a free screening of “Mighty Jerome” followed by a panel discussion.
Other events included in this year’s festival will be a night of feature films on Friday at Cinematheque with “Red White Black & Blue” (7 p.m.) and “Next Goal Wins” (9 p.m.)
On Saturday, The Forks will host an outdoor screening on the snow screen of the Oscar-nominated, NFP animation “Me and My Moulton” beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Tonight’s run of “Mighty Jerome” begins at 6 p.m. at the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame, 145 Pacific Avenue. Tickets are available online.
