A contract employee of the RCMP has been charged with sexual assault after an incident at the Oxford House detachment.
RCMP say they received the complaint by a female prisoner on January 26, alleging she was assaulted on January 23.
Police launched an investigation and arrested and charged Ken Lauzon, 54, of Oxford House on January 31.
Lauzon has also been charged with uttering threats and breach of trust.
He was hired through the Commissionaires to guard prisoners lodged in cells at the Oxford House RCMP detachment.
Lauzon has been released and will appear in Thompson court on March 27.
