Man Charged in Fatal Shamattawa Stabbing

RCMP Crest LogoRCMP in Shamattawa, Manitoba have arrested and charged a man after a fatal stabbing in the community on Wednesday.

Police were called to a residence at around 6 p.m. to find Louis Crane, 65, of Shamattawa deceased inside.

Frank Thomas, 38, also of Shamattawa, has been charged with second-degree murder. He remains in custody and will appear in Thompson court on February 9.

RCMP say the victim and accused knew each other.
