A two-vehicle crash on Highway 59 Saturday night sent three people to hospital south of Winnipeg.
RCMP say a vehicle travelling east on Provincial Road 311 failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with another vehicle heading north on Highway 59. Both vehicles ended up in the ditch approximately 5 km east of Niverville.
The first vehicle caught fire and the 65-year-old Steinbach man driving was pulled unconscious from the wreck by three passersby.
He suffered substantial injuries and is listed in stable condition in hospital.
The two women in the other vehicle also suffered injuries and are recovering. A 25-year-old from Winnipeg and a 24-year-old from St. Cloud, Minnesota are listed in stable condition.
Alcohol is not considered to be a factor and RCMP continue to investigate.
