Two teen girls are facing charges after driving a stolen Mazda Protege early Tuesday morning in River Park South.
Winnipeg police say the teens were spotted by residents in the area of Eastcote Drive at around 2 a.m. acting suspicious while casing other parked vehicles in the area.
Police and the canine unit responded and caught up to the suspects near Healy Crescent after they fled. They were taken into custody at around 3 a.m.
A 14-year-old girl and 15-year-old girl are facing two counts of possession of property obtained by crime.
Police continue to investigate.
