Alberta Man Arrested in Manitoba Driving Stolen Truck

RCMP Crest LogoA man travelling across Canada in a stolen truck has been nabbed by RCMP in Manitoba.

James Gardiner, 21, of Grande Prairie, Alberta was arrested February 7 at around 8 p.m. in Wawanesa.

RCMP say the truck was stolen in Alberta and Gardiner planned to drive to New Brunswick. Mounties in Brandon received a tip that he may be at a residence in Wawanesa, where they were able to locate the vehicle and make an arrest.

He has been charged with two counts of possession of stolen property and breach of recognizance. He remains in custody.
