Winnipeg police members are playing a friendly game of basketball today in support of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.
Officers of all ranks, including Chief Devon Clunis, will be at Hedges Middle School later this morning as part one of a three-game series against Manitoba Corrections officers.
Police say the fun game is an opportunity to build on positive relationships with the school community.
Another game will be played March 12 at Salisbury Morse Place School and April 10 at Henry G Izatt Middle School. Games aren’t open to the public.
Any school wishing to host future games should send an e-mail to Constable Minkus at [email protected].
