Winnipeg police have their man after he managed to evade them for months after knocking off a grocery store.
Police said the man stole money and cigarettes from a grocery store on Stella Avenue in May of last year. While police were able to identify a suspect, they could not located the man.
However, police said they came across him on Monday during an unrelated matter, and picked him up.
Michale John Desmarais, 23, faces charges of robbery and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose due to his alleged involvement.
