A best-of-three playoff series is in the sights of the Manitoba Bisons women’s hockey game this weekend.

The Herd hosts Regina in the Canada West quarter final on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (if necessary).

Manitoba ended their regular season #9 in Canada West standings with a 14-5-7-2 record as they welcome the sixth place Regina Cougars.

Manitoba hasn’t won a playoff series since 2010-11 season, when they captured the conference championship. The Bisons are on a four-game playoff losing streak.

In conference scoring, Bison rookie forward Alanna Sharman finished in first in Canada West with 40 points (17 goals, 23 assists) and is on a nine game point streak.

Games are set for 7 p.m. February 20-21 at Wayne Fleming Arena. If the teams split the series, a third game will be played Sunday, February 22 at 7 p.m.

Playoff tickets are $12 for adults, $7 for students and seniors, and free for children under six.
