Have some gently used runners and footwear kicking around? A Winnipeg marketing and communications company would appreciate if you donated them.
During March, Fit Communications’ inaugural Runner Roundup will be collecting shoes for girls and women in an effort to promote healthy living and fitness. Many times, a lack of proper athletic footwear is an obstacle for those wanting to get active.
Fit Communications has partnered with Snap Fitness for the initiative, who will then donate runners to local women’s shelters and groups in need at the end of the month.
Snap Fitness will also act as the collection/drop off location for the footwear donations. Locations for donation include Osborne Village (206 Osborne Street), St. Boniface (249 St. Mary’s Rd.) and Selkirk (379 Main Street, Selkirk).
Those who receive a shoe donation will also be provided free enrollment and a free month membership to Snap Fitness.
