Concordia Hospital has a new president and CEO at the helm.
Valerie Wiebe has been named to the role by the hospital’s board of directors and will assume her new role on April 13.
Wiebe is the former vice-president and chief officer of patient services at CancerCare Manitoba, where she provided a leadership role in the provincial strategy Cancer Patient Journey: In Sixty.
Wiebe earned her registered nurse diploma at Health Sciences Centre, and both a baccalaureate degree in nursing and a masters degree in nursing at the University of Manitoba. She also completed a certificate of theology at Canadian Mennonite University.
“Concordia Hospital is an important part of our community, providing key health services within the Winnipeg health region. I look forward to continuing our strong partnership with Concordia Hospital, and look forward to working with Valerie as she assumes this key role within the hospital,” said Arlene Wilgosh, president and CEO of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.
